Bulgaria has always supported Georgia on its European path and will continue doing so, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva told Georgia’s Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Viktor Dolidze, at a meeting in Sofia, quoted by the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
A priority for the current trio chairing the Council of the EU is the European perspective of the Western Balkans and the Eastern Partnership states. This is a main foreign policy priority for the Bulgarian government, not only for our upcoming rotating presidency, Zaharieva stated.
The only way for stable and democratic development of the Western Balkan states and the Eastern Partnership countries is their European future, she said, stressing on the importance for the citizens of those countries that their governments’ efforts for reforms be appreciated.
