Prime minister Boiko Borisov, representatives of the trade unions and employers organisations agreed to create at least 22,000 jobs under the national initiative Jobs for Young People in Bulgaria 2012 - 2013.
The parties pledged to provide young people with opportunities to obtain initial business experience and to support their transition from education and training to work, the Sofia government said in a statement published on Wednesday.
Providing young people with a job is a top priority for the government, the statement quoted labour minister Totyu Mladenov as saying.
