Unification of social security funds does not mean a uniform pension

The Labour Ministry aims at the operational and organisational unification of the pension funds, but that does not mean a uniform pension for everyone, Deputy Labour Minister Vassilis Kegeroglou said in an interview with ANA-MPA on Thursday.
Commenting on a report that the government is planning to set up a single National Social Security Fund where all pension funds will be included, Kegeroglou admitted that certain proposals were being considered, but all these are just scenarios for the time being.
"The operational and organisational unification is, of course, our target. However, this does not mean the same pension for everyone," he underlined adding that this is wrong as each pension fund has a different history.
