Now is the time for investments that will support the dynamic recovery of the Greek economy, is the message that Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras put across during his contacts with top bankers in New York on Wednesday. For more than an hour, Tsipras spoke with investors in meetings arranged by the Bank of America Merrill Lynch. According to government officials, the Greek premier held talks with investment funds that showed an interest in investing in Greece, drawn by the economy's prospects, while they also discussed geopolitical issues. He referred to the improving fundamentals of the Greek economy, officials said, and highlighted that the recovery is taking place after difficult years in Greece that saw record high unemployment and the economy shrink by some 25 percent.
