Greece will successfully exit its bailout program next year, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said in an interview with Portuguese paper "Diario de Noticias" published on Sunday, noting it is a victory of the Greek people and that he is feeling optimistic about the next general elections in 2019.
"The adjustment was, of course, smoother than in previous years but it was still an adjustment. Now, in the midst of our mandate, we are at a turning point. The political climate is beginning to change - and indeed fast - in Greece," he was quoted as saying.
"I am certain that when we manage to exit successfully the memorandum in the summer of 2018, the people's psychology will change," he said, adding that at the end of the government?s term people will be able to compare between the results of the previous governments and those of the SYRIZA-ANEL coalition.
