Tourism Minister: Bulgaria to Be A Coordinator of the BSEC Working Group on Cooperation in Tourism
The proposal Bulgaria to be coordinator of the group on cooperation in tourism within the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) is extremely great recognition for both the government and the Ministry of Tourism for the active work in terms of tourism.
That is what Minster of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova told Radio FOCUS after she took part in the ministerial conference of the countries of the BSEC responsible for culture and tourism in Sochi, Russia.
“In addition to great recognition, this is a great responsibility, because it is important that group on tourism within the organisation to show concrete actions and activities so that to draw attention to the Black Sea region to the maximum. For Bulgaria this is very important because more than 53% of tourists visiting our country are from the BSEC member states. We welcome about 3.7 million tourists from these countries. This is very important for Bulgaria, because the proposal to head this group means that we will be able together with other member states to shape and promote common products,” Minister Angelkova commented further.
According to her, this nomination is a big positive surprise.
