Tourism Administration Relocation to Plovdiv Costs 51,000 Euro

The relocation of the tourism administration from Sofia to Plovdiv costs 102,000 levs ($65,500/51,100 euro), the economy ministry said.

The departments in charge of tourism policy and tourism marketing, promotion and information started work in their new offices on Monday, the economy ministry said in a statement.

Plovdiv and the whole country will benefit from the move, the statement quoted economy minister Delyan Dobrev as saying on Monday.

As of next year part of the collected concession fees will go to fund the development of culture tourism, and the ministry will launch a strategy to transform Bulgaria into a year-round tourist destination, Dobrev also said.
