The Bulgarian unit of Norwegian telecommunications group Telenor said on Tuesday, its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose to 130 million levs ($78 million/66.5 million euro) in the first half of the year, from 124 million levs in the like period of 2017.
Telenor Bulgaria's revenue increased to 343 million levs in January-June from 322 million levs in the corresponding period of last year, the company said in an interim financial statement.
In March, Telenor said it has agreed to sell its Central and Eastern European assets to Czech-based investment group PPF for 2.8 billion euro ($3.3 million) on an enterprise value basis. The deal includes Telenor's wholly-owned mobile operations in Hungary, Bulgaria, Montenegro and Serbia and the technology service provider Telenor Common Operation. The transaction has not yet been completed.
