Talks with the U.S. for compensation over delayed order of fighter jets are upcoming.

After consultations with specialists from the United States Department of Defense, it would become clear whether this country would receive compensation for the delayed delivery of F-16 fighters, Defense Minister Stefan Yanev said during the parliamentary meeting today. According to him, an American delegation is expected to arrive in Bulgaria in a few weeks. The minister added that the US government may sanction the manufacturing company for delays in deliveries, but any termination of the contract would be at the expense of Bulgaria.
