Switzerland will give Bulgaria a total of 76 million francs (63 million euros) to work toward the reduction of economic and social inequality.
The Swiss grants were confirmed late on Monday, the first day of President Rosen Plevneliev's visit to the country, the news website blick.ch reports, citing the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (EDA).
Projects on sustainable development, environmental protection, security and research will be eligible to receive funding.
Plevneliev and his counterpart for 2014 Didier Burkhalter discussed Switzerland's policies on EU affairs and its bilateral projects with Bulgaria.
