Support from Salzburg Forum for Upcoming Accession to Schengen Area

The Salzburg Forum declared firm support for the upcoming accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the Schengen area, the Bulgarian Interior Ministry said Thursday in a statement on the participation of Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov in the event.

The Salzburg Forum is a format for cooperation between the regional Interior Ministers of eight European countries: Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland,Slovakia, Slovenia, and Romania.

The Salzburg Forum Ministerial Conference (26 - 28 August 2010) is  focused on the adoption of Vision 2020 on the future development of the Forum.
