State Budget Cannot Support Lavish Spending, PM Says

Bulgaria's budget for this year cannot take up lavish spending, prime minister Plamen Oresharski said.
Budgetary performance so far does not give grounds for optimism that it could support extra expenditures, Oresharski told the Bulgarian National Radio.
The prime minister pledged to streamline the administrative services in an effort to support the business.
Spurring economic growth is the only sustainable means of increasing people’s incomes, Oresharski said, adding that the government is not contemplating a sovereign loan or bond to raise money for a hike in public salaries and pensions.
