International trains started servicing the Sofia-Thessaloniki railway line once again on Saturday, news portal mediapool reported.
Ticket reservation are mandatory and have to be made 60 days in advance.
The service, which state-owned Greek train operator Trainose discontinued three years ago, will be available once daily in each direction.
TrainOSE's decision to relaunch international trains is due to the improved economic situation of the company after having redefined its strategic options, Greek media have reported.
