Sofia's Urban Mobility Center said on Friday that it has selected a Bulgarian-Turkish consortium to supply, integrate and maintain an automated electronic system for fare collection in the city's public transport.The consortium won the tender with an offer of 73.2 million levs ($43.8 million/37.4 million euro), Sofia's Urban Mobility Center said in its decision for the selection.The tie-up comprises Turkey's Asis Elektronik ve Bilisim Sistemleri and Bulgarian companies Computernet Services, Tixi and Maxtel.The winning candidate offered the lowest price and received the highest score in terms of technical criteria, the documents show.The tender, which had an estimated value of 88 million levs, attracted 10 offers. Four of the offers were disqualified in the pre-selection process.The unsuccessful participants in the tender now have 10 days to challenge the Urban Mobility Center's decision before the Commission for Protection of Competition.(1 euro = 1.95583 levs)
