Sofia opens 19.6 mln euro tender for 30 e-buses, 10 charging stations

Municipally-owned public transport company Stolichen Electrotransport, which serves the Bulgarian capital Sofia, said on Thursday that it has launched a tender for awarding a contract for delivery of 30 new electric buses and 10 charging stations for electric vehicles, worth an estimated 38.4 million levs ($21.8 million/19.6 million euro), VAT excluded.The contract also envisages carrying out the necessary training of Stolichen Electrotransport staff related to the exploitation and maintenance of the vehicles, the company said in a tender notice.The deadline for filing bids is October 7.Offers will be ranked based on price, which has 56% weight in the final mark, and technical criteria.
