Sofia mayor Yordanka Fandakova is the most popular politician supported by 61% of Bulgarians, a poll conducted by the National Public Opinion Centre (NPOC) at the end of May showed.
President Rosen Plevneliev ranked second with approval ratings of 54%, registering a 2.0% increase, while prime minister Boiko Borisov came third, approved by 50% of Bulgarians, state-run Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) reported on Thursday quoting data from the NPOC poll.
Confidence that the incumbent cabinet of the centre-right party GERB will complete successfully its mandate has been increasing over the past six months after the local and presidential elections, BTA added.
NPOC conducted the national representative survey between May 23 and 30 among 1,000 respondents.
