Sofia City Signs 27.5 Mln Euro Trolleybus Deal

Bulgaria's capital Sofia signed a 27.5 million euro ($36.1 million) deal with Czech trolleybus manufacturer Skoda Electric for the supply of 50 new low-floor articulated trolleybuses.
Under the contract, the trolleybuses should be delivered within 15 months, the Sofia city authorities said in a press release.
The deal will be funded under the EU-backed operational programme Regional Development 2007-2013.
The value of the contract excludes value added tax.
