Sofia Bozhurishte Economic Zone to Open Up To 5,000 Jobs in Five Years

The development of Sofia Bozhurishte Economic Zone near Bulgaria’s capital Sofia is expected to create 3,000-5,000 jobs in the coming five years, Valeri Andreev, the chief executive of industrial park operator National Company Industrial Zones, was quoted as saying by the Sofia News Agency (novinite.com).
The development of Sofia Bozhurishte Economic Zone started officially on Monday with the groundbreaking ceremony of the future facility of German car parts supplier Behr-Hella Thermocontrol (BHTC). The German company will build a production facility and a research and development (R&D) centre, involving an initial investment of 42.5 million levs ($29 million/21.7 million euro). The construction works have to be finished by the spring of 2014 and the launch of the facility will create more than 350 jobs.
