Sofia Airport passenger traffic shrinks 76% y/y in Nov

Passenger numbers at Bulgaria's Sofia Airport declined by 76% year-on-year to 125,061 in November, data from the airport's website shows.

Aircraft take-offs and landings decreased by 50.6% on the year to 2,269 in November, Sofia Airport data shows.

Cargo handled at the airport fell 3.4% to 2,050 tonnes in the month under review.

In July, Bulgaria's government signed a contract for a 35-year concession of Sofia Airport with a consortium comprising French-based Meridiam Eastern European Investments and the operator of Munich Airport.
