The Premier Minister Antonis Samaras sent a confident message speaking during celebrations commemorating the Battle of Crete, that Greece will make it. He emphasized that honoring the heroes who fought at the Battle of Crete in 1941, people communicate the message to all of Greece and the world of what Greeks can achieve when they are unite. Samaras made a very special reference to the Cretan resistance against Nazi rule and to the high price paid by the people of Crete during German occupation of the island at WWII. The Greek prime minister also made a reference to Crete island's growth prospects.
