Total revenue from tourist overnights spent in Bulgaria in November increased by 1.9% year-on-year to 38.1 million levs ($22.5 million/19.5 million euro), the statistical office said on Friday. The revenue from overnights spent by foreign nationals decreased by 0.7%, while the revenue from Bulgarian residents rose by 3.9%, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement. The total number of tourist overnights spent in Bulgaria in November fell by 3.7% to 684,600.The biggest drop in the number of overnights, by 10.2%, was registered by one- and two-star hotels, which serviced 9.3% of the total number of overnights of international visitors and 31.2% of the overnights spent by Bulgarian residents. A total of 371,100 visitors stayed in accommodation facilities in Bulgaria in November, down 0.2 % year-on-year. The number of Bulgarian residents staying in accommodation establishments increased by 0.9%, while the number of foreign visitors decreased by 2.9%.
