Residential buildings completed in Bulgaria in Q4 increase 3.4% y/y

New residential buildings completed in Bulgaria increased by 3.4% year-on-year  in the fourth quarter of 2020 to 969, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Friday.

The total usable space of newly built dwellings rose by 8.2% year-on-year to 424,100 sq m in the fourth quarter, the NSI said in a statement.

The highest number of residential buildings completed in the fourth quarter, 138, was recorded in Sofia, followed by the second-largest city of Plovdiv, with 130 dwellings.

Houses represented 72.2% of all new residential buildings completed in the quarter under review.
