Red Tape, Frequent Legal Changes Impede Local Business, Employers Organisations Say

Red tape, frequently changing laws and limited access to funding are the major problems facing business in Bulgaria, according to representatives of local employers organisations, the Sofia News Agency (Novinite.com) reported.

Speaking at a joint news conference, representatives of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Bulgarian Industrial Association and the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association called on the government to ease the regulatory burden, introduce manadatory impact assessment of all laws, and step up the launch of e-government, the news agency said.

The employers organisations also requested streamlined procedures for the preparation, submission and evaluation of projects in the next programming period (2014-2020.
