RECENT AND EXPECTED TAX CHANGES IN BULGARIA AND GREECE

HBCB in cooperation with Baker Tilly in South East Europe under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Sofia  organized a seminar to discuss the importance of recent  and expected tax changes in Bulgaria and Greece for the cross-border operations

The event was attended by H.E. Mr. Stavros Avgoustides , Ambassador of Cyprus in Sofia,  
representatives from the Greek Embassy and more than 100 managers and employees interested in the
subject.

In the first part of the seminar Mr. Neofytos Neofytou, Head of Tax, Baker Tilly in South East Europe, spoke extensively on the Implementation of exchange of information by banks and other financial institutions as from 1 January 2017.
He also talked about how the Changes in the Greek and international tax scene make substance an important element of operating internationally.

The presentations provided valuable feedback on the latest legislative changes in the tax systems in Bulgaria and Greece and provoked lively discussions among the participants.

The seminar was followed by a light cocktail where guests had the opportunity to exchange ideas and opinions in a more informal atmosphere.
