President Plevneliev Dissolves Parliament

President Rosen Plevneliev issued two decrees officially appointing a new caretaker government headed by Marin Raykov and dissolving parliament on March 15.

The decrees also stated that snap elections will be held on May 12.

There will be no nationalisation of power distribution companies as their contracts are inviolable and should be respected, Raykov said, as quoted by the Bulgarian National Radio, as he officially stepped into office.

He added that all elements forming electricity bills should be checked, and pledged to ensure that the regulators take fair decisions.
