President Papoulias Receives Bulgarian Foreign Minister

Relations between Greece and Bulgaria are excellent and, since Bulgaria joined the European Union, there are no outstanding political issues but only technical issues, Greek president Karolos Papoulias stressed during a meeting with visiting Bulgarian foreign minister Kristian Vigenin, the Athens News Agency-Macedonian Press Agency reported.
During the meeting, the president raised the issue of the Evros River, which runs through both countries, and the management of its waters.
Vigenin said he had also discussed the issue with Government Vice-President and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos and that it could be resolved.
