The Presidents of Bulgaria and Poland, Rossen Plevneliev and Andrzej Duda discussed in Sofia bilateral relations and topics on the agenda of the EU in the sphere of defense, energy, migration policy and the debt crisis. The two countries share joint positions on the Euro-Atlantic agenda and work together for their realization, the two presidents agreed. President Plevneliev gave a very high assessment for the role Poland plays for the implementation of the format Visegrad+, which includes Bulgaria and Romania. Bulgaria’s Head of State also expressed gratitude for Warsaw’s support for Bulgaria’s joining the Schengen area.
