President-elect Rumen Radev Takes Oath of Office in Parliament

Bulgaria's newly elected President and Vice President, Rumen Radev and Iliana Iotova, took the oath of office in the National Assembly on Thursday. "I swear in the name of the Republic of Bulgaria to observe the Constitution and the law of the land and in all my actions to be guided by the interests of the people. I have sworn." This wording of the oath is enshrined in the Constitution and is also used by the MPs and the members of the Council of Ministers. Radev will be inaugurated on January 22.
