The country is suffering a crisis in the governance due to the deficit of competency, Bulgaria's Socialist President Georgi Parvanov stated at a forum dedicated to the start of a new formation called ABV.
Parvanov, who is former leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, convened on Thursday a national summit, called "Bulgaria - on the next day," on his political project named Alternative for Bulgarian Revival, the Bulgarian acronym being ABV (the first three letters of the Bulgarian alphabet).
The event marked the start of the ABV project, which would include representatives of many sectors - mayors, doctors, teachers, NGOs, educators, politicians, without their participation meaning a commitment from their own respective political parties.
One of the forum's organizers, Kostadin Paskalev, said that the project would not be a political party. Instead, in his words, the Socialists will discuss the situation in Bulgaria.
