President Rosen Plevneliev called for the establishment of an agency in charge of the development of an e-government.
There are at least three administrative structures at present working on the e-government project and it is being done "piecemeal", state-run Bulgarian News Agency quoted Plevneliev as saying at a press conference reviewing his first one hundred days in office.
The President said an umbrella structure should be established to oversee the project and report annually on its progress.
"The e-government is strategically important for Bulgaria for creating a radically different business environment," Plevneliev said.
