PM Says Hydrocarbon Exploration To Accelerate
Thursday, 01 January 1970
The procedures for hydrocarbon exploration and the establishment of a public company for hydrocarbons will be stepped up, prime minister Antonis Samaras said, as quoted by the Athens News Agency.
The acceleration of hydrocarbon drilling procedures constitutes a “major comparative and geopolitical advantage for Greece”, the prime minister stressed.
The prime minister pointed to exploration works in the Ionian Sea region and south of the island of Crete, and said that tenders are in progress for companies wishing to launch projects in Ioannina, Katakolo and Patraikos Bay.
