PM Mitsotakis: The Τrilateral Summit condemned Turkish aggressiveness

Our countries, with deep roots in the past, are cooperating over a broad range of issues, stated Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in statements after the trilateral Greece, Cyprus and Egypt summit on Tuesday in Cairo.
Mitsotakis said that the summit condemned Turkish aggressiveness in Cyprus' Economic Exclusive Zone (EEZ).
Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades, in his statements after the end of the Summit in Cairo, stated that the meeting was an important mechanism for regional cooperation and that it highlighted the three countries' desire for peace, security and prosperity in the wider region.
"Taking into account the will of the three countries to broaden our cooperation, we had the opportunity to examine ways to further enhance this by adopting the Cairo declaration, which is a point of reference," said Anastasiades.
Additonally, he referred to the active participation of the private sector in investments through a plan for the signature of a memorandum among the investment promotion organisations of the three countries.
"We must coordinate our efforts, increase the investments and educational relations between us," Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi said in his statements.
In talks with Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the three sides confirmed their coordination in all aspects concerning the Southeast Mediterranean.
The Egyptian president welcomed an agreement for the non-taxation by third countries of investments between the three countries. He also condemned phenomena, such as terrorism, that "create a new crisis in the region" and stressed that terrorism was a phenomenon that must not be linked with religion.
