PM: Bulgaria is Isle of Stability Threatened by Eurozone Crisis

2 years ago Bulgaria wanted to join the Eurozone, but is now discouraged because of the financial crisis that has seized countries in the monetary union, reflected Bulgarian PM Boyko Borisov Sunday.

The Bulgarian PM stated that his country an island of stability and hard work amid a global ocean of financial instability and riots.

"Financial risk is created by those countries that were not disciplined and spent more than they produce. We are not one of them," stated Borisov while on a trip to Varna.

"Bulgaria wanted to join the Eurozone, but now Eurozone countries are a risk for us," was the Bulgarian PM's comment regarding financial turmoil in Europe.

He said that Bulgaria will be once more eager to join, when all Eurozone countries bring their deficits within the official 3% limit./Source: Sofia News Agency/
