Bulgaria's Prime Minister, Boyko Borissov will seek the business's opinion on how to drive the economy forwards. Yesterday he suggested that the large business should organize a series of meetings to discuss ways Bulgaria could emerge from the economic standstill.
He informed that similar debates would be held on regional level with the participation of mayors and the main topics of discussion would be solving the unemployment issue and production development strategies. Europe has two main problems, a high deficit and debt, however, Bulgaria does well on both of these criteria. Now, though, we need to focus on growth, Borissov commented. He was explicit it was the time the business should move forward in a synchronicity of a kind and not grow fragmentarily as so far.
I support Djankov in the steps he takes towards reforms but he often is too quick to speak, Borissov also said. He believes that once all debates are held and the Cabinet has taken a firm decision, changes should be initiated all at once. (Source: Standart News)
