PM Borissov Confers with UN Special Envoy on Youth Employment

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov met Friday with Werner Faymann, UN Special Envoy on Youth Employment, the Cabinet Press Office said.
During the talk Borissov underscored the provision of a higher quality of life in Bulgaria. He added that addressing youth unemployment and guaranteeing of quality education are among the key priorities of the Bulgarian Government. He noted that in the past year unemployment among young people up to the age of 29 has dropped by three per cent down to 13 per cent. "This positive tendency motivates us to continue with our efforts for ensuring employment of young people," said Borissov.
Borissov was adamant that Bulgaria supports the efficient policies, which help the career orientation of young people and lead to their successful professional development. Every year, the responsible institutions plan measures involving thousands of young people in employment and internship projects.
