Bulgarian prime minister Boiko Borisov cabled on Monday his congratulations to New Democracy leader Antonis Samaras on his party's election victory.
"I congratulate you on the election victory of New Democracy. Greek people gave their vote for responsible European behavior and foreseeable economic development. I am confident of your capacities to form as soon as possible a government to implement the policy of recovery and to initiate growth of the Greek economy," Borisov said in his message, as quoted by his press office.
Borisov reiterated the solidarity of the government and the Bulgarian people with Greek citizens' efforts to overcome the debt and economic crisis in the Mediterranean country.
"You can always count on the support of the friendly Bulgarian people," the prime minister added.
