Bulgaria is an example of proper absorption of EU funds from countries where thanks to cohesion policy people perceive EU membership, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov stated during his meeting with the President of the National Council of the Parliament of the Swiss Confederation Krista Markvalder. The two politicians discussed opportunities to deepen trade and economic cooperation and attracting new investments, the press office of the government revealed.
In Borisov's words, the Bulgarian-Swiss cooperation program, which is part of the cohesion policy has greatly contributed to reducing social and economic disparities between our country and other Member States. "Thanks to the services provided by Swiss funds - 76 million. CHF francs, we completed a number of projects in priority for us areas such as security and stability, civil society participation, social inclusion of minorities and vulnerable groups, environment and infrastructure, institutional partnerships and research, " Borisov said.
