Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev will visit Brussels on Wednesday, his first official visit since taking office as head of state.
On the agenda of Plevneliev's two-day visit are meetings with European Council President Herman van Rompuy, European Commission President Jose Barroso, European Parliament President Martin Schulz and NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the president's press office said in a statement. He will also hold talks with Bulgarian MEPs from various political parties.
Plevneliev will also talk with Bulgaria's European Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva, as well as Bulgarians working in the European institutions.
On Plevneliev's delegation is foreign minister Nikolai Mladenov.
