Pensions Rise by Average 10% as of April, Labour Minister Says

Pensions will go up by an average 10% as of April, Labour Minister Totyu Mladenov said.

Calculations related to the hike of pensions are currently being done, the state-run Bulgarian National Radio quoted Mladenov as saying on Sunday.

The supervisory board of the National Social Security Institute and the so-called tripartite council of employers, trade unions and government officials, are yet to discuss the proposed increase, he added.

An increase in child and maternity benefits will be discussed with the finance ministry, the state-run Bulgarian News Agency quoted Mladenov as saying at the same event.
