Competitiveness, cohesion and culture – these are the three priorities for the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU, said Lilyana Pavlova, the Minister for Bulgaria’s Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2018, FOCUS News Agency reports.
"Today in Sofia is the last meeting of the Presidency Trio. With my colleagues from Estonia and Austria we will discuss our main priorities: firstly, employment, growth, economic development, energy and digital unity. The second priority is security and migration. Bulgaria places special focus on the Western Balkans. The third priority is the EU as a global player on the external political scene,” Pavlova said, adding that the Bulgaria’s three priorities are competitiveness, cohesion and culture.
It is expected that on 23 June, before the Council meeting, the Prime Ministers of the Trio will sign these priorities giving a start to the presidency, Pavlova specified.
