Parliament Adopts Tourism Ministry Draft Law

Greece’s parliament passed a tourism ministry-sponsored draft law that aims to boost entrepreneurship in tourism, the Athens News Agency-Macedonia Press Agency reported.
The draft law covers both structural issues and licensing procedures, including a restructuring of the Greek National Tourism Organisation (EOT), the news agency said.
It tries to draw a clear line between the responsibilities of the tourism ministry and EOT, as the former will focus on planning tourism policy. The ministry will take over from EOT the Special Service for Promotion and Licensure of Tourism Investments, and will operate a one-stop shop for large investment projects.
