German software and IT infrastructure provider NTT DATA Business Solutions, a subsidiary of Japan's NTT Group, said on Friday that it has taken over Bulgarian SAP service provider Business Services & Technologies in a deal that will broaden the buyer's global capabilities in managed services.
The transaction brings to six the German company's global managed service centres and expands its operations to a total of 31 countries, NTT DATA Business Solutions said in a statement.
The financial terms of the deal were not divulged. The acquisition is a culmination of several years of partnership between the two businesses.
"The European markets require Europe-based shoring centres and delivery on site. With this acquisition, we are expanding our shoring offerings in the European Union," NTT DATA Business Solutions CEO Norbert Rotter stated.
Founded in 2012, Sofia-based Business Services & Technologies specialises in assisting clients with digital transformation processes through SAP applying business and implementation consulting as well as managed services for SAP solutions such as Ariba, S/4HANA and SuccessFactors. With about 150 staff, the IT company' offers managed cloud services, software development and application management services for clients in various industry sectors such as food and beverages, automotive and construction.
NTT DATA Business Solutions, which employs over 12,000 staff, is part of Tokyo-based NTT DATA, itself a subsidiary of NTT Group.
