In June 2017, the trips of Bulgarians abroad increased by 9.5% year-on-year to 618900, the National Statistics Institute (NSI) said.
The largest increase was registered in trips to Italy, 30.2%, followed by Spain, Austria, Czech Republic, Romania, Belgium, Serbia and France, among other countries. At the same time, the trips to Israel, the US and Poland decreased by 7.1%, 4.1% and 1.8%, respectively.
The largest share of Bulgarian trips abroad in June, 45.5%, were trips with other purposes (as a guest, education or cultural and sport events), followed by trips for holiday and recreation, 30.6%, and business trips, 23.9%
In addition, the trips of foreigners to Bulgaria in June rose 6.9% year-on-year to nearly 1.45 million.
