NSI: GDP Grows 3.6% YoY in Last Quarter of 2017

In the last quarter of 2017, Bulgaria’s gross domestic product (GDP) rose 3.6% year-on-year to 27.875 billion leva at current prices, according to flash estimates by the National Statistical Institute (NSI).
Compared to the third quarter of 2017, GDP rose 0.8%. Gross Value Added in the fourth quarter of 2017 amounted to 24.06 billion leva, up by 3.7% from a year earlier.
The end consumption registered 4.7% growth on annual basis, while gross fixed capital formation expanded by 3.2%. The exports and imports increased 2% and 9.4%, respectively. The trade balance was negative in the last quarter of 2017.
