NSI: Construction Index Falls 1.8% MoM in April 2017

In April 2017, the index of production in the construction sector was 1.8% below the level of the previous month, the National Statistics Institute (NSI) said. Compared to April 2016, the index rose by 2.0%.
Building construction decreased by 1.8% month-on-month but rose by 8.7% on an annual basis.
Civil engineering went down by 1.7% month-on-month and by 5.4% year-on-year, NSI’s preliminary data show.
