New Bulgarian EU Commissioner To Be Announced in Early 2017

The new Bulgarian EU commissioner will likely be named in the beginning of 2017, according to the European edition of the website ''Politico''.
The newspaper writes that possible candidates include outgoing ministers Ekaterina Zaharieva and Lilyana Pavlova, Iliana Tsanova- member of the European Fund for Strategic Investment (EFSI), and Iliana Ivanova from the Еuropean Court of Auditors (ECA).
Iliana Tsanova has specified that nobody talked to her officially about the position of EU commissioner, while Iliana Ivanova noted that she has not had any conversations on the subject as well.
