Nearly 54 Million Euros to Be Distributed under Black Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020

Close to 54 million euro are expected to be distributed under the Black Sea Basin (BSB) Programme 2014-2020, Deputy Regional Development Minister Denitsa Nikolova said on Tuesday.
Nikolova, who heads the Managing Authority of Operational Programme Regions in Growth, opened the first information seminar for Bulgaria under Cross Border Cooperation BSB 2014-2020, which highlighted opportunities for implementing projects through the upcoming first call for proposals.
The programme with a budget of about 53.9 million euro will finance mostly soft measure projects in tourism, environmental protection and river and sea waste reduction. The Bulgarian regions eligible for funding are Bourgas, Varna, Dobrich, Shoumen, Turgovishte, Sliven, Yambol and Stara Zagora.
The programme opens up development opportunities to more specific regions. This instrument involves ten countries with a common identity in the context of the Black Sea Basin.
