Natural Gas Price in Bulgaria May Decrease by 20% as of April 1: Watchdog (ROUNDUP)

Natural Gas Price in Bulgaria May Decrease by 20% as of April 1: Watchdog (ROUNDUP)

“My expectation is for the price of natural gas to drop by around 20% as of April 1,” said Ivan Ivanov, Chairperson of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission, speaking with journalists.
“I was modest in my statement when I said that the gas price cut could be of no less than 15%. My expectation is for the price decrease to reach around 20% because I follow the change of the crude oil price on daily basis,” Mr Ivanov commented further.
The expert, however, remarked that there were two more months until the commission issued its next price decision.
The head of the energy watchdog, however, refused to comment on what the effect of the gas price cut would be on the price of the central heating tariff.
Mr Ivanov also commented on other issues concerning the work of the commission.
