NATO Secretary General Pays Visit to Bulgaria

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen opened an official one-day visit to Bulgaria on Friday, the Bulgarian National Radio reported. During his visit the NATO Secretary General will hold a one-to-one meeting with President Rosen Plevneliev, Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski, foreign minister Kristian Vigenin, and defence minister Angel Naydenov. The crisis in Ukraine will be one of the issues that Rasmussen and Plevneliev are expected to discuss during their one-to-one meeting. Rasmussen's visit is related to the preparation of the 2014 NATO Summit this autumn, as well as the anniversaries of the Alliance's enlargement, Bulgaria's foreign ministry has said.
