Minister Krasimir Karakachanov: There Won’t Be Favouritism for One or Another Type of Armed Forces, This is Big Mistake.
There was a question if I would favour one or another type of armed forces - on the contrary, I have always said that this is the biggest mistake, Defence Minister Krasimir Karakachanov said after a closed session of the parliamentary committee of defence, a reporter of FOCUS News Agency reported.
“Favouring one or two types of armed forces at the expense of others would be a mistake, nothing like this will happen,” he said.
Questions at the session were well-intentioned and many different issues were discussed, including the current situation of some types of armed forces, the situation of Terem, a company repairing military equipment, and the meeting in Brussels.
The minister said he wants the modernisation projects for all armed forces - ground, navy and aviation - to advance together, although the project for the ground forces delayed during the last government’s term of office.
